Exploring Abstract Collage

Do you ever start a collage with enthusiasm and then reach a point where you are no longer sure what the composition needs next?

You sense that something is missing, but you cannot quite see what it is.

Many artists know this feeling well.
Even with beautiful materials and plenty of ideas, it can still feel difficult to create a composition that feels balanced, intentional and truly personal.

Over the years, I have learnt a lot about abstract collage through books, workshops and, most importantly, through creating many small studies and larger works myself. Through this process I slowly began to understand why certain compositions worked better than others and how small decisions can completely change the feeling of a piece.

In this course, I would love to give you insight into the way I work, think and make decisions while creating abstract collages. Rather than simply showing techniques, I want to help you better understand the creative process itself so you can begin to trust your own artistic choices and gradually discover what feels right and meaningful to you.

The course is divided into 5 Modules with 30 video Lessons, instructions and downloads.

In Exploring Collage you will:

begin with small formats to experiment freely and understand your materials
explore colour, layering and visual contrast
learn how to create compositions with more balance, focus and clarity
follow my creative process from the first idea to the finished collage
gain insight into my thoughts and decision making while working
understand why certain choices strengthen a composition
work towards larger and more confident collage pieces
develop a more personal and intuitive way of working

This course combines practical exercises, demonstrations and personal insights to help you feel more confident in your artistic decisions and develop a way of working that feels authentic to you.
